Being a good Muslim may be hard, doing things like

keeping up with prayers and all the rules you have to follow. One wikihow article is nowhere near enough to learn all about Islam, but here are a few tips and steps to get you started.

Learn about the most important parts of Islam, things like the five daily prayers: Fajr, Zuhr/Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib and Isha. Learn about the other five pillars, too. Remember to persevere with these prayers! It always seems a little like too much at first, but when you think about it, you're only putting aside a few minutes every time you pray.

You can learn a lot from translations of the Qur'an, the most accurate guide to being a Muslim that there is.

There are books with detailed step-by-step guides on how to complete your five daily prayers. This may also seem like a lot to remember if you are praying for the first time, but you can start by learning about the easier prayers at first, like Fajr.

* There are two main sects in Islam, the Sunnis and Shias. Follow the one which you think is the right one after research. Avoid other sects such as the Wahabbis/Salafis (puritan fundamentalists) and Sufis (not true monotheists). Make sure you are guided to the right group.
